We begin the Overseas Adventure Travel tour of Australia by the opening salvo of Tour Director, Vince Haberfield: "Aussies stand by their convictions and choose not to be revolting."
If this were not enough to get the political discussion flowing, we Americans learned later that were it not for the American Revolution (Georgia colony being the receptor of English convicts), the flow of convicts to Tasmania (see Fort Arthur in www.oattasmania.blogspot.com) and then later to Australia's mainland, the history of Australia and its settlement might have been totally different.
The following (above) pictures and videos proved to be a remarkable learning and discovery for the eleven of us that were fortunate to be on this particular OAT "Ultimate Australia" trip. It is our hope (those of us that contributed to this blog as well as you can also by submitting pictures or comments) that you will experience as much fun and enjoyment as we did in loading the blog.
